The Alpaca Breeders Association has designated her EPD (Expected Progeny Differences) are in the top 10%! Anika, just like her sisters and brother: Angelica, Angelito, Silver Angel, and Penelope look just like their dam Angelina, a champion ribbon winner.

Anika's fleece is a beautiful white that is lustrous and very fine, but nicely dense.

Anika, just like all of her siblings and dam, have an almost perfect phenotype! They have great conformation with a strong frame, they are thick-boned, have impressive top-knots, nice thick short muzzles, and overall a beautiful and pleasing look. Angelina seems to have very strong genetics! Anika's sire CT Estrada who has won multiple champions and blues.

She's becoming a great alpaca and she loves to sun bathe outside on nice sunny days! A sweet girl who is quite curious and very easy to handle. Very patient just like her dam!

Angelina has beautifully dense fine fleece, an incredible top-knot, a strong body and a terrific future.

Angelina, was awarded her fifth blue ribbon. Angelina, at the Empire Fleece event, topped even MFI Astovine, who took a R. Championship at the AOBA Fleece show! Judge Cheryl  R. Gehly commented that it is "Very fine, soft, and uniform" giving it an 18.5 out of 20 possible points for fineness and handle.

Angelina sheared 5-1/2 pounds of fleece at less than one year of age. This was 6% of her body weight at the time of her shearing, and is very impressive when you consider that a typical alpaca shears under 4 percent of fleece in a full year of growth.

With a sweet and gentle disposition, and her good looks, Angelina also has outstanding heritage; Her sire, prestigious 4Peruvian Altiplano, is an import from the Sollocata region of Peru and has produced an amazing number of show winners, Angelina included! (She was not shown prior to this, we could have expected a lot more!)

Her dam, Desni, is considered one of our best foundation females, a devoted mother, which we can expect for Angelina, and is a blue-ribbon winner herself for "Get of Dam" in 2007.

For Angelina's spring breeding 2009, we partnered her with Maple Brook's Angelo (ARI#: 833149). Angelo combines the genetics of two of the most recognized Accoyo herdsires in the country, Caligula and Felix, along with the finest and most notable Allianza male in the country, Hemingway. At 15.9 micron at 8 months of age Angelo held his fineness density handle and coverage, and was awarded the well deserved Championship at the Big E in the Fall of 2003. Angelo's fiber won a blue ribbon, best brightness, champion and JUDGE'S CHOICE at the 2004 Empire Extravaganza.

Angelina gave birth in June, 2010 to a truly gorgeous little boy, Angelito. He carries on his dam and sire's angelic tradition, and has himself ribboned in competitive classes.

SIRE (FATHER)

CT Estrada

Estrada is a well-balanced male from two top parents. His Sire, Evander does it again with this amazingly dense, fine fleece male with a great handle and luster, extensive coverage and a great body. With his 2012 shearing, Estrada had over 12.6 pounds of fleece sheared off. Amazing!!

Alpaca judge, Wade Gease has said about Estrada, "He is the "complete package". Very nice fleece style and crimp formation throughout. He has kept his fineness/softness." Also, Judge David Barboza has said about Estrada: "His architecture and density is incredible! Spot on!" And Alpaca Fleece Judge, Cheryl Gehly has written: "Wow! Fine with great character! Quite uniform for micron.""Beautiful Fleece: fine, bright, well organized!". Awarding him first place in the competition, and again, after the fleeces third showing at the 2009 Empire Symposium and Fleece Event, she commented again;"Beautiful Fleece: fine, bright, well organized!". Most recent fleece circuit, Estrada's fleece (its fourth showing) took yet another blue at PAOBA show, May, 2009.

To date, Estrada has eight multiple Champ/Reserve Championships, and 27 first-place, blue-ribbon awards. See the details of his show record below, most in very competitive classes!

In 2009, Estrada's Fleece won the reserve Championship, and took first place in his class over another amazing alpaca who won the 2008 Futurity Championship that had 54 entries in the class!

Both dam and sire have produced Championship winners so his future is extremely promising indeed.
