KHAN D'OR won second at the Virginia Classic Alpaca Show in 2009!

Khan D'Or is truly a "golden-boy" as his nickname implies, he is the closest we have seen to a literal golden fleece. Super lustrous he has revealed a micron of 16.7.

This in fact should be no surprise, as his lineage speaks for itself. His mother, Golden Frida, is the daughter of the famous Snowmass Legacy Gold. Frida has very correct conformation, as Khan D'Or does, and she is a  large boned female who had Khan D'Or entering the world at over twenty pounds!

Hands on the "Gold" you will find evidence of the quality she has produced in this amazing male.

Khan is also a fiber producing machine! In 2013 he sheared off 10.8 pounds of fleece.Khan D'Or's Sire, Aga Khan has won 11 championships over a 4-year show period before being retired from the ring in 2006. In 2007, his crias began claiming their banners and winning for Khan, five first place Get-of-Sire wins so far with many, many shows still to go. His value has continued to increase, actually greatly increase over the last four years. With the performance of his crias in the show ring, many breeders have gained even more of a serious respect for him, as you will have with Khan D'Or.

Khan D'Or is quite large for an alpaca, but he has a heart of gold!

Put this wonderful genetic line in your herd, with Khan D'Or. (Aga Khan now resides in Florida).

Fiber Analysis: Sheared off 10.8 pounds of fleece in 2013!

Midnight is one of our first purchases from Cas-Cad-Nac farm. We have been tremendously pleased with her production and success of her offspring. Golden Frida is sired by the most decorated Snowmass Legacy Gold who sold for $500,000 at the Making of Champions Private Selection Sale in 2006. His half brother Snowmass Invincible sold for a world record price of $580,000 in 2005. These are the two highest selling males in alpaca auction history. His Grand sire, 4P Legacy also sold for $750,000 for 1/2 interest which is the highest selling private treaty sale - Please read about him below.

We are thrilled to have this magnificent female as part of our herd, at Island Alpaca.

In 2008 she has produced her first offspring, and has been a terrific mom. This pairing was with Aga Khan which resulted in a superfine male, (16.7 micron) we now name, Khan D'Or, or Golden Khan. ( he is often referred to as "Golden Boy" here at the farm, as he is truly solid gold!)

With Frida's fabulous lineage and a terrific service sire, CT Estrada, you MUST see Frida's May 15, 2010 cria. He is a brilliant male! This incredible offspring, with tight, crimpy curls, is named Lucca and is a champion and blue ribbon winner!

Frida's Grand Sire, is again, the notable 4Peruvian Legacy 6016, born on the Accoyo Estancia in 1994 and imported to the USA in the fourth Peruvian Importation in 1996. Legacy left and indelible mark on the North American Alpaca Industry. He was perhaps one of, if not the most notable alpaca in the world by virtue of both his production of excellence and his record-setting sales numbers. Twice he was the highest selling alpaca in history and he still holds that distinction. At the Futurity, he was the Herd Sire of the year in 2002 and the Reserve Light Herd Sire of the Year in both 2005 and 2007. It is conceivable, if not probable, that he would have won that award a couple more times in the late 1990's had such an award been established. His sons and daughters, and grandchildren have garnered countless ribbons and Championships during a span which covered a decade all over the nation. He became important to many programs by virtue of his sons and daughters.

SIRE (FATHER)

Aga Khan

The Aga Khan's great-grand sire on both sides is the Peruvian Shere Khan. His grand sire is Vengador. He has won 11 championships in total as well as five Get-of-Sires! The Aga Khan sold for $217,000 at the 2008 Futurity Sale. He was owned by Golden Spirit Alpaca Ranch, and had a Stud Fee of $7,500!
